Have you ever wondered what on earth you're doing here? What would God actually ever want from me and is He really interested in me?
At some point I guess we all have those feelings. Some of us more than others! There is a scripture in the book of Jeremiah that really communicates God's heart for us all...
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope". (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV)
You see, the God of all creation is speaking to you today. He is saying directly to you that he has good thoughts toward you, He has thoughts of peace and not evil! Think about that just for a moment. He has thoughts of peace for you today. His peace which the bible says transcends ALL understanding! I think I needed to hear that myself this morning! I know I did!!
The scripture does not end there though. God goes on to say that He has a future and a hope for you! Hope... Now that's something we all need more of today.
He also wants to bring peace to your situation whatever that is...
Peace? How do you find peace in the midst of difficult, painful circumstances? Well, you let Peace find you. The Prince of peace is right where you are! You don’t have to look very far at all. He’s right in the middle of your life.
He’s in the midst of our joy, our sorrow, our busyness, our confusion and our suffering. The key to our peace is to turn our eyes upon Jesus.
Invite Him into every facet of our lives.
Simply ask Him to prove to you once again that He is who He says he is.
He says he is our Strength. Our Shield. Our Rock. Our Hiding Place. Our Refuge. Our Deliverer. Our great Comforter, our faithful Companion, and our ever-present Friend in times of trouble.
Jesus says he is the mighty God, the Prince of Peace, and YES... We can trust him!
Jesus is the only one who can meet the deepest needs of your heart, and He wants you to know how deeply He loves you. He loves you so much that He’s moved heaven and earth to do it. He is the only one who will never disappoint you, never ever leave you, comfort you intimately, and love you perfectly every single moment of your life.
Our job? It’s simple...Invite him in! He does the rest!
Let Peace Find you today! If you're feeling under the pump today, feeling like there just doesn't seem a way through your current situation, take all that you have and give it to the one that offers you hope. A future and a hope! He is promising you He will see you through... And He is not a man that He can lie! I'll leave you with this wonderful promise from the book of Isaiah...
"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV)
Be confident in the knowledge that He has a great plan and He WILL keep His promise! You can be sure of that!
